PASSION PROJECTS
LYRIC VIDEOS
I decided to use lyric videos as a way to further my understanding of Adobe After Effects. Some of the videos took on a deeper meaning as it used them as a way of reminding everyone about the importance of Armistice Day and Blue Monday.
ANTI SMOKING
This project started life as a previous university brief, a project in which I thought the end result could have been done better. This time around I tried to steer away from the typical anti smoking adverts of the past, making adverts with the intention of making "the smoker" feel embarrassed or guilty.
LOW POLY
What started as a cool effect for another project, developed in to a style I have become known for. During the pandemic years I honed my low poly skills with more complicated and detailed compositions.
COMPETITION ENTIRES
Throughout my design career to date I have regularly entered design competitions. This was done to get my name out there (who doesn't remember a winner!) but to challenge myself in taking on complex briefs.
EXHIBITIONS
Some of my competition entries were selected to feature in exhibitions around the world. In 2019 I held my own exhibition, celebrating the work bees do for humanity as a whole.
GREETINGS CARDS
Over the past few years | designed a range of Greetings Cards for Christmas and Valentines Day. I have always tried to experiment with each new series of designs to make something that's a little more unique compared to existing greetings cards on the market.
BREAST CANCER SELFIE
After seeing all the inspirational photos of women sharing photos on Facebook with no make up to raise awareness of breast cancer, I decided to something to support the cause. So l decided to design a pop art style print showcasing a glamorous woman but with all the make up removed. Once the design was completed I posted it on my Facebook page and encouraged people to share it with the promise that after the 50th share I will donate £100 to Cancer Research UK. After a few weeks I am delighted to say that I managed to achieve this target.
ALABASTER ALLSTARS
After a friend of mine got diagnosed with cancer, myself and several of my work colleagues, decided to organise a charity football match to help him make amazing memories in the time he had left. I contributed to the cause my designing a range of promotional material for the event, a club badge and home kit for the match itself. When it was all said and done we managed to raise £1,400
