ABOUT ME

Hello there! My name is Simon Ioannou (pronounced I-ah-noo, for those who need it, which is pretty much everyone!).
I’m a kind-hearted, funny, and easygoing person with the patience of a monk and the persistence of the Energizer bunny. From a young age, I’ve always shown a creative flair. One of my fondest childhood memories is winning a school competition to design a Christmas card.
My design education continued at Southampton Solent University, where I was exposed to various projects from renowned design studios like Kesselskramer, Non Format, and David Carson Design. These design heavyweights helped me develop a style that combines experimentation, alternative thinking, and captivating imagery.
My passion for design only grew stronger with each stage of my education, particularly at the Isle of Wight College. It was there that I gained the confidence to experiment with new programs and techniques.
Since I was seven years old, I’ve been diagnosed with autism. While some people perceive it as a negative trait, I see it as an advantage. It allows me to completely dedicate myself to things that I’m passionate about, and graphic design is one of them. It also gives me a unique perspective on things that others might miss. In simple terms, I see the world differently.
